Enter Pop Up Power Supplies, which offers retractable service units to provide an electricity supply to public spaces ranging from historic sites and market places to town squares and parks.

A series of standard products is available, with a range of power outputs and weight loadings, as well as made to measure units with dished tops which can accommodate different paving.

The units are lowered into the ground by either handles for manual lifting, or using crank handles and gas pistons for assisted and automatic raising. In flood plain areas they can be quickly removed from their chamber, leaving just a cable connector behind.

Manufactured to EN124 and protected to a rating of IP66, the units range from 660 to 1100mm in height and have an underground depth ranging from 1000 to 1500mm. The standard round design has a diameter of 870mm, the square designs have sections from 400 x 300mm to 580x580mm.

Also available from the company are similar units for the provision of a water and air supply.
