Lincolnshire-based Arbordeck™ has provided a decking area and access ramp for a Nottinghamshire pub.

Dating back to the late 16th century, The Plough Inn at Caunton, Newark, now boasts an 8m x 8m decked dining area specially designed by Mansfield deck-building company, Distinctive Landscapes.

The facility - aimed at helping to increase weekend and evening trade - was converted from a sloping lawned area, with Arbordeck materials also being used to construct an access ramp to eliminate steep steps leading from the car park to the pub entrance and gardens and provide a more inclusive environment for wheelchair-users.

Arbordeck holds the Timber Decking Association's Deck Mark™ quality assurance award, along with a 15-year performance guarantee. Boards are Tanalith E treated for protection against fungal and insect attack.
