Following this year's enclosed public spaces smoking ban in Scotland and ahead of similar legislation in England next year, Scott Brothers has come up with a solution for creating a comfortable outdoor smoking area for pubs, clubs and restaurants.
Helios outdoor heaters are electric infrared appliances equipped with a waterproof cast aluminium housing with a tempered protective glass lens meaning they won't be affected by draughts or the wind. They are also silent, odourless, instant and safe, heating people and objects but not the ambient air.
They also feature a patented symmetrical parabolic reflector with a double concentric curve, which is claimed to give maximum performance of up to 25 per cent more than conventional reflectors.
In addition, the units use multicoated Philips® HeLeN® tubes, these emitting short wave infrared which is reported to be 92 per cent efficient. Each tube has a 7000 hour life and suffers no degradation of power during its life.
Helios units can be either wall mounted or fitted to structures such as lights and parasols, or alternatively supplied as free-standing units, ready wired, complete with a tripod stand, 10m of cable and an RCD safety plug.
