Pole Sud, the French ice cream specialist for restaurants and hotels, will be offering something different at Hospitality - ice cream in the flavours of both Guinness, specially created for an English chef, and Roquefort.
In a move the company says is set to revolutionise the way ice-cream is served, Pole Sud is also offering pre-prepared scoops of ice-cream.
The Roquefort ice cream, smooth textured and with a slightly bluish tint, is reported to deliver all the flavour of the original cheese, whilst toning down the harshness. A typical serving would see Roquefort cheese and ground Sichuan pepper on a pear poached in spices and braised in caramel, with a scoop of Roquefort ice cream on a slice of walnut bread
The company's ready-to-serve scoops come packaged in boxes of 54 x 60ml scoops, with a choice of flavours which includes Bulgarian Yogurt, Arabica Coffee, Guanaja Chocolate, Lemon, Milk Jam, Senga Strawberry, Raspberry, Mango, Poire Williams des coteaux du lyonnais and Vanilla.
