Robots 1<br>Humans lost …

Scientists predict that with the advances in modern technology they will be able to make robots that can act and move like humans - and football will never be the same again.

In the meantime, Robosoccer has arrived and although the robots are controlled by the fee paying public, inventor Andrew Cotterell believes it is due to take the entertainment industry by storm.

The game is available to rent or buy and has already proved to be a great revenue generator for Kevin Keegan's Soccer Circus experience near Glasgow, home of one of the first systems to be made available in the UK.

Essentially the game consists of four robots, a football pitch, two goals and (of course) the ball. Said to be very simple but very addictive, it can be installed in -amongst other places - family entertainment centres, theme parks, soft play centres, holiday resorts, conference centres and hotels, fairgrounds, shopping centres, museums, race circuits and laser centres.

Robosoccer is a self-contained system, enabling four players to control the robots, requiring a space of 7.5m x 5m. It is designed for constant use, with barriers to protect the crowds.

It is available as a static or mobile system, the latter version having a trailer and weather-proof dome and cover, enabling a one-hour setup.

The system does not require a full time operator and has the flexibility to be coin-operated or free play, allowing contestants a four minute game.
