COA wins gold with ISPAL

The Institute for Sport, Parks and Leisure (ISPAL), the new professional body for the UK leisure industry, has selected COA (CedarOpenAccounts) to provide a new financial management and reporting software platform.
COA's software will support ISPAL's expanded remit within the leisure industry and meet the needs of its growing membership base.
The organisation was recently formed by the merger of ILAM (Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management) and NASD (National Association for Sports Development), both of which had their own accountancy systems. The new body was therefore seeking a modern finance and reporting system that was flexible enough to adapt to a changing legal framework, facilitate remote working in the organisation, and integrate easily with other systems.
ISPAL's contract includes COA's OpenAccounts Core Finance ledger system with built in reporting to enable the organisation to easily build its own financial reports and queries. ISPAL will also use the OpenAccounts eBIS workflow to provide self service enquiry and reporting facilities for its remotely based budget managers together with the eBIS purchase invoice approval system.
The COA system is currently in implementation and due to go live in March 2007.
ISPAL represents and provides services to leisure professionals working in all aspects of the leisure industry, including the arts, children's play, libraries, museums, parks and open spaces, sports services, tourism and visitor attractions.
COA is claimed to be the UK's fastest growing financial management, procurement, human resource and payroll software supplier.
