Electronic equipment design and manufacture group, C-TEC, has launched a new lightweight portable induction loop system.

Ideal for counters, tabletops, reception desks and meeting/interview rooms, the PL1/K1 provides an easy and economical way of complying with the forthcoming DDA legislation concerning discrimination against the hearing impaired.

The kit consists of a PL1 portable induction loop amplifier and plug top charger and C-TEC claims it can generate a high quality listening loop field of about 1.2sq m.

The system is ready to use within seconds, straightforward to operate by either staff or members of the public and features one simple on/off button.
